The development of technology has created a consistently high demand for Wi-Fi because of the types of devices that are accessing the network. Previously, customers would access the network via laptops, as and when needed. But with the advent of smart phones and mobile devices such as tablets, the need for on-demand Wi-Fi is a top priority.
As a first step, the installation team at Infinium IT performed remote diagnostics, then a series of intensive site investigations to map the network and identify the hardware needed for the project. The topography of the site, its scale and the impressive build quality and insulation of the lodges also provided challenges to deliver a strong Wi-Fi infrastructure.
LONG BEACH ESTATE COMPANY
Long Beach Estate Company, Hemsby and its associate sites, is located near the popular seaside town of Great Yarmouth.
The management team at Long Beach – which also operates
Long Beach Tenting & Touring, and the Grange Touring Park – had anticipated rising customer demand for a more reliable and stronger Wi-Fi service.
This trend was largely driven by the development of a wide range of mobile devices connecting to internet services, requiring a more sophisticated network.
Working hand-in-hand with event organisers, the team from Infinium worked around the clock to install networks at Carfest North, held at Oulton Park in Cheshire, and Carfest South at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire, both of which were held in August.
Infinium had to provide Wi-Fi that was accessible over both sites, including the camping areas, As well as this, they were required to install and provide secure business Wi-Fi networks for the event organiser and companies trading at this years festivals.
